Innovative techniques

Optimum has been making use of innovative analytical and monitoring strategies for many years, fine-tuning each technique and updating procedures to reflect the technological breakthrough. The result is that we have a comprehensive suite of tools that enable us to gain a clear picture of the health of your plant.

A major benefit of this Condition Based Monitoring approach is that it avoids unnecessary, time-consuming and disruptive strip-down of components to assess condition.

The Condition Based Monitoring programme involves 12 visits a year to record critical data and information, backed by comprehensive annual maintenance of all elements of the plant. Within this programme we make use of some or all of the following techniques:

Vibration Analysis
using sophisticated vibration monitors to assess the condition of rotating parts and highlight potential problems.

Spectrometric analysis
of lubricants to provide early detection of emerging mechanical problems.

Fluorescent Leak Detection
for detecting refrigerant leaks within a system.

Measurement of energy consumption
and identification of measures to increase efficiency, reduce costs and minimise CO2 emissions.
